I am delighted and honored to serve as your president this year. Our recent Fall Conference broke all records with 355 participants in addition to our 41 program sponsors. I want to personally thank two of our board members, who completed their terms, for their hard work and dedication to the LA GFOA – Steven Stanfield, Desoto Parish School Board (immediate past president), and Don Gaudet (Lafourche Parish School Board (board member).

Distinguished Budget Presentation Award (Budget Awards Program)

The National GFOA Budget Awards Program is designed to encourage governments to prepare budget documents of the highest quality to meet the needs of decision makers and citizens. Since the program was first established in 1984, participation has grown from 113 to 1,108. Information about the Budget Awards Program can be obtained by sending e-mail to BudgetAwards@gfoa.org. Please include your name, jurisdiction, mailing address, and phone number in your e-mail message.
