Louisiana GFOA was organized in September 1983 for the purpose of:

Promoting the use of efficient financial management systems in government agencies

Improving individual knowledge and skills

Promoting development of accounting, budgeting and financial reporting procedures in cooperation with the GFOA of the United States and Canada, the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, and similar organizations

Providing a forum for discussing and analyzing financial problems arising under the laws of Louisiana and other issues of concern to public finance officials

Membership is your passkey to programs focusing on certification, professional development, scholarship, information exchange, and networking.
